1. Wrapping paper or gift bags?

Gift bags. I can't wrap.

2. Real tree or artificial?

Artificial. Real trees end up shedding all over the carpet.

3. When do you put up the tree?

Hopefully by Christmas.

5. Do you like eggnog?

Yes please.

6. Favorite gift received as a child?

Hmmm... When I was about 14 I was snooping in the basement and spotted my gift early: A bandsaw. I was thoroughly disappointed. When Christmas came, I had to pretend I was both surprised and happy. Over the next year or two I became a bandsaw maniac, making all sorts of crazy things with it. It spent a few years with my parents after I moved out and has recently come back and I'm going to use it to make my daughter's Christmas present soon.

7. Hardest person to buy for?

Everyone. I suck at buying gifts for people including myself. Sometimes I get lucky.

8. Easiest person to buy for?

My daughter. She likes all kinds of things.

9. Do you have a Nativity scene?

Yes, I just got a cast brass one as a birthday gift.

10. Mail or email Christmas cards?

Email. I can never remember the current postal rate. I don't mail things much.

11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received?

12. Favorite Christmas Movie?

A Christmas Story. Go Ralphie!

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas?

I start keeping my eyes open in January. I keep a gift shelf with both specific and general items that I come across so I'm ready when necessary.

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present?

Probably, but nothing leaps to mind.

15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas?

Mince pies maybe? I like all the normal foods, but I only seem to get mince pies at Christmas time.

16. What decorations are on your tree?

The tree is near collapse with ornaments, lights, and strings of beads.

17. Favorite Christmas song?

Fairytale of New York or those dogs barking Jingle Bells.

18. Travel at Christmas or stay at home?

Staying at home, waking up Christmas morning, hopefully sleeping in.

19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer?

Yes.

20. Angel on top of tree or star?

Either is fine. The tree looks naked without something on top.

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?

Christmas morning, although we used to open one on Christmas Eve.

22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year?

Crowded stores.

23 What theme or color are you using when you decorate?

I'm not organized enough to have a theme.

25. What do you want for Christmas this year?

Peace on Earth, good will towards me, and night vision goggles.
